At Washington Regional Medical Center, we are dedicated to helping our community address the healthcare challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. General information about testing, vaccines and visiting guidelines is available below. For the latest updates and additional details, please visit our Facebook page or call 252-404-9229.
We currently have a running COVID-19 testing clinic every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (closed noon to 1:00 for lunch) via our Outpatient Department.
Rapid testing with results in 15 minutes, as well as PCR nasopharyngeal swab tests, are available.
No appointment is necessary for walk-in testing but you must bring proper identification and your insurance card with you. No one will be denied testing due to an inability to pay.
Outpatient parking and entrance is located at the back end of the hospital, adjacent to the emergency department.
Frontline healthcare staff are among the first to receive COVID-19 vaccinations. Based on availability, WRMC proudly provides vaccines to the eligible public. To stay informed about vaccine availability for the public, please follow our Facebook page.
COVID-19 Visiting Guidelines
For the health and safety of our patients, visitors, healthcare providers and communities, we must enforce temporary visitor restrictions in order to slow and stop the spread of COVID-19. For now, we are allowing visitation. All visitors will be asked to wear masks at all times and will have their temperature checked upon entrance. For hospital inpatients, we are limiting visits to include only one person at a time, and only visits from designated partners, primary caretakers/guardians or direct family members over the age of 18. Exceptions will be considered for end-of-life situations or when an immediate family member is essential for the patient’s emotional well-being and care, such as cognitive impairment.
We recognize this can be disappointing to our visitors, patients and residents, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Everyone’s health and safety is our top priority.
